The Strauss Center has released its report on the 2014 Next Generation Project Texas Assembly that was held in Houston on January 30-31, 2014.  This year’s assembly entitled “Surveillance, Security, and Privacy from a Texas Perspective” sought to examine the opportunities and challenges that technology poses to security, privacy, and economic development. Young leaders from around the state came together to hear from expert panels and to take part in roundtable discussions focused on the most pressing security and privacy issues facing Texans in the coming years.

Matt Fajkus, Next Generation Project Texas Fellow and Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin, recently won the prestigious Regents' Outstanding Teaching Award for 2013.

The Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law is pleased to announce the selection of nine new Next Generation Scholars for the 2013-2014 academic year. These young scholars, all undergraduates at the University of Texas at Austin, will be paired with Strauss Center Distinguished Scholars who will act as mentors and guide the undergraduates through research projects of their choosing.
